Sermorelin reconstitution calculator.
Sermorelin was an approved drug once, sold as Geref before it was discontinued, and today it comes as a 5 mg or 10 mg compounded or research vial. Old labeled figures and current vial sizes do not line up, which is where the confusion starts.
Reference range often cited for Sermorelin: 200–500 mcg, shown for orientation only, not a recommendation. Enter your own target below. Read the evidence →
Each unit on a 100u · 1.0 mL syringe ≈ 25 mcg of this solution.
Show the math
More water → lower concentration → more units for the same amount.
What changes the math for Sermorelin.
- 5 mg in 2 mL is 2,500 mcg/mL, so 200 mcg is 8 units and 500 mcg is 20 units.
- Compounded sermorelin is often dispensed already reconstituted with instructions from the pharmacy. If yours arrived as liquid, the concentration is on the label and there is nothing to compute.
- Sermorelin has a short half-life, so it is administered frequently, which makes doses per vial the practical planning figure.

Short-acting GHRH analog; administered before sleep to mimic the natural nocturnal GH pulse.
Sermorelin is typically sold as a 3 mg or 6 mg lyophilized vial. Reconstituting 3 mg with 3.0 mL BAC water gives 1,000 mcg/mL. Research protocols commonly target pre-sleep administration to coincide with the body's natural nocturnal GH peak.
FAQ.
Is sermorelin FDA-approved?
It was, as Geref, and that product was discontinued. What is dispensed now comes through compounding or research supply, which is a different regulatory position. The legal status page covers the detail.
My pharmacy sent sermorelin already mixed. What do I enter?
Nothing needs reconstituting. The label states a concentration in mg/mL, and dividing your target by it gives the volume. The mcg to units converter handles that single step.
How many units is 300 mcg of sermorelin?
On 5 mg in 2 mL (2,500 mcg/mL) it is 12 units. On 5 mg in 5 mL it is 30 units. Enter your own vial and water above rather than copying either figure.
This page is arithmetic on numbers you enter. It does not recommend an amount of Sermorelin, and nothing here is medical advice. For what the published evidence actually supports, read the Sermorelin profile, and for regulatory status see is Sermorelin legal. Reviewed June 1, 2026.
