MOTS-c reconstitution calculator.
MOTS-c is a mitochondrial-derived peptide sold in 5 mg and 10 mg vials, and the amounts discussed for it run in whole milligrams. That makes it one of the compounds where the draw fills a large part of the syringe.
Reference range often cited for MOTS-c: 5000–10000 mcg, shown for orientation only, not a recommendation. Enter your own target below. Read the evidence →
Each unit on a 100u · 1.0 mL syringe ≈ 25 mcg of this solution.
Show the math
More water → lower concentration → more units for the same amount.
What changes the math for MOTS-c.
- 5 mg in 2 mL is 2,500 mcg/mL, so 5 mg would be the entire vial and 10 mg targets require the larger vial outright.
- When the target approaches the vial mass, doses per vial drops to a handful, and the water volume mostly decides how many units each of those draws reads as.
- Milligram targets on a microgram-scaled table are the classic thousandfold error here. Enter mg and let the conversion happen in the tool.

MOTS-c: research formats
Choose the format you are researching to see route-specific notes.
Mitochondrial peptide; SC is most common. Some research uses IM for larger volumes.
MOTS-c is sold as a 5–10 mg vial. Reconstituting 10 mg with 2.0 mL BAC water gives 5,000 mcg/mL, a dense solution. Because studied doses in publications are in the low-mg range, injection volumes can be moderate.
FAQ.
How many units is 10 mg of MOTS-c?
On a 10 mg vial in 2 mL (5,000 mcg/mL), 10 mg is the whole vial, which is 2 mL, or 200 units, twice a full U-100 syringe. That is a signal to reconsider the water volume.
How many draws does a 10 mg vial give?
Vial mass divided by target. At 5 mg per draw it is two, at 2.5 mg it is four. Water volume does not change that count, only the volume of each draw.
Does MOTS-c need refrigeration after mixing?
Reconstituted peptides in bacteriostatic water are refrigerated as a rule, and the preservative is what supports repeated draws over weeks. Lyophilized powder is far more forgiving before it is mixed.
This page is arithmetic on numbers you enter. It does not recommend an amount of MOTS-c, and nothing here is medical advice. For what the published evidence actually supports, read the MOTS-c profile, and for regulatory status see is MOTS-c legal. Reviewed June 1, 2026.
