Your first week with PepCue.
What to set up on day one, the habit that makes the record trustworthy, and which numbers are not worth reading yet.
The first week is about building a habit, not about data. A log becomes useful only once it is complete enough to be trusted, and that takes roughly seven days of ordinary use.
Day one.
Add your compounds, set schedules, and enter your vials with their reconstitution details. If you are going to use reminders, turn them on now and set times you will realistically be free, not times that look tidy on a calendar. A reminder you routinely dismiss trains you to ignore the app.
Days two to four.
Log every dose as you take it rather than reconstructing the week on Sunday evening. Two taps in the moment is the difference between a record you would show a clinician and a rough guess. If you use site rotation, let the app choose the next site instead of overriding it, because the pattern only does anything if you follow it.
Day five onwards.
Start attaching notes. A one-line observation about sleep, appetite, injection-site soreness, or anything else takes seconds, and it is the part of the record people later wish they had kept. A symptom logged with a severity at the time is far more useful than a memory of a bad week.
End of the first week.
- Look at the calendar view. Gaps are honest information, not a failure.
- Check remaining vial volume against the vial in your fridge. If they disagree, your entered concentration is probably wrong.
- Read your cost per dose once, so the number stops being abstract.
- Read the profile on this site for whatever you are taking, including the parts about weak evidence.
What you should not expect in week one is a meaningful trend. Weight moves for a dozen reasons that have nothing to do with a protocol, adherence figures need several weeks before they say anything, and estimated level curves are a model built from your logs rather than a measurement of your blood. Treat the first week as setup and let the app get interesting over the following month.
