Schedules and reminders.
Weekly patterns, fixed intervals, titration steps, pausing without losing history, and how to fix reminders that never arrive.
A schedule in PepCue is a pattern attached to a compound: which days it happens on, at what time, and how much. Everything else in the app follows from it. The Today screen, the calendar, adherence figures, and days of supply remaining are all read off the schedule you set.
The two schedule shapes.
Most protocols are weekly: the same days every week, such as Monday and Thursday, or every day. Some are interval-based instead, repeating every three days or every ten days regardless of which weekday that lands on. Pick the shape that matches how the protocol was actually described to you rather than approximating an interval with weekdays, because the two drift apart within a month.
Titration and step-up schedules.
If your protocol changes amount on a fixed date, set it as a step rather than editing the schedule each time. The app keeps the previous step in history, so a chart of the last three months still shows what you were taking in month one. Editing a single schedule repeatedly overwrites that context and makes the record harder to interpret later.
Pausing.
Pause a protocol instead of deleting it when you stop for a while. A paused protocol stops generating reminders and scheduled entries but keeps every logged dose, every note, and its cost history. Deleting it removes the record along with the schedule, which is almost never what you want.
When reminders do not arrive.
- 01Check that notifications are allowed for PepCue in your phone's system settings, not just inside the app.
- 02On Android, exclude PepCue from battery optimisation. Aggressive power management is the most common cause of silent reminders.
- 03On iOS, check that Focus modes or Scheduled Summary are not holding the notification back until later.
- 04Confirm the reminder time is in the future for today. A time that has already passed fires on the next scheduled day.
Reminders are a convenience, not a safety system. They are generated on the device and can be delayed or suppressed by the operating system, so a protocol that genuinely depends on precise timing should not rely on a phone notification alone.
FAQ.
Can PepCue handle a schedule that is not weekly?
Yes. Schedules can repeat on a fixed interval, such as every three or every ten days, as well as on chosen weekdays.
What happens to my history if I pause a protocol?
Nothing is lost. Pausing stops future reminders and scheduled entries while keeping every logged dose, note, and cost record attached to that protocol.
