There are two very different people searching for HCG alternatives. The first wants an option for fertility or an endocrine indication, in which case HCG is already the approved answer: it is an FDA-approved prescription injectable sold as Pregnyl, Novarel, and Ovidrel, and the useful comparison is to other agents acting on the same reproductive axis. The second arrived through the weight-loss claim, and there the honest answer is that the FDA has stated HCG is not approved and lacks substantial evidence for weight loss, with over-the-counter homeopathic HCG weight-loss products treated as unapproved and illegal.
