Epitalon is a four-amino-acid peptide, Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, developed in the 1980s to reproduce the proposed active fragment of a crude bovine pineal extract, and it anchors the Khavinson bioregulator family in longevity discussion. The alternatives search is almost always geographic and legal. Epitalon and Epithalamin reached clinical use only in Russia, have never been approved by the FDA or EMA, are not dietary supplements in the United States, and are sold there only as research-use-only chemicals. Nothing else in the bioregulator family clears that bar either. If the goal is an evidence upgrade rather than a lateral move, the honest answer is that this class does not offer one.
